Mary Seddon (Dickinson) Lacy was born on May 18, 1862 in Springfield, Virginia, the daughter of Judge Asa Dupuy Dickinson (1816-1884) and Sarah Cabell "Sallie" (Irving) Dickinson (1825-1899).
She was married to Reverend James "Horace" Lacy (1862-1944), the son of Major James Horace Lacy (1823-1906) and his wife Bettie Churchill (Jones) Lacy (1826-1907).
A resident of Clarksville, Tennessee, Mary was 84 years old and a widow when she passed away on November 25, 1946. Burial was two days later in Greenwood Cemetery, Clarksville.
