Mr. Aarestad was born April 11, 1921 in New Norway, Alberta, Canada.
He was a United States Army and World War II Veteran, retired from Civil Service, a non denominational Christian.
He is preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Mullen, his brothers, Steven, Elvin, Victor and Philip. His sisters, Adina, Alma Myrtle and Ruby and his parents, Hans and Malena Aarestad.
Survivors include his wife, Georgia M. Aarestad of Maud, Texas, Three sons, Steven G. Aarestad, Scott K. Aarestad and Robb A. Aarestad; six daughters, Virginia, Linda, Phebe, Melody, Heather and Judy; one sister, Helen Aarestad; ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a number of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held in the Bates-Rolf Chapel, New Boston, Texas.
Interment will be in Ringwood Cemetery, New Boston under the direction of Bates-Rolf, New Boston.
