James H. Todd, 85, passed away at Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville, NC.
Mr. Todd was born in Conway, SC, a son of the late Tillman and Mary Ellen Sellers Todd. He was a member of Socastee United Methodist Church. Mr. Todd was a US Navy Veteran serving during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the D.A.V., Boy Scout Troop 36 Chairman, James also served as a Lt. in the U.S.C. Cadets at Ft. McHenry in Baltimore, MD. Mr. Todd was Supervisor of the "Office of Facilities Management & Services" for Montgomery County, MD. He was preceded in death by one son; two grandson's; and 5 brothers and sisters.
Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Almedia E. Todd of Myrtle Beach; 7 children; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother and 3 sisters.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday at Socastee United Methodist Church with Rev. Ray Smith officiating. Burial with Full Military Rites will be held at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
The family will receive friends after the service in the Church Fellowship Hall.
