Blanche was an independent woman--ahead of her times. She valued education and careers for women, constantly encouraging her three daughters to go to college and never be dependent upon anyone for a livelihood. Much of this philosophy was formed by her life experiences. Behind her stoic outlook as a single mother was a woman who genuinely wanted the best for her children. Her love was not always outwardly expressed, but ultimately it was known in the hearts of those who knew her. She deserves an unending supply of red tulips.
Eternal love from her youngest daughter, Lorraine
