John H. Farley, a life-long resident of Lowell, where he was born and educated, the son of the late Michael H. Farley, a veteran of the Civil War, and the late Eileen (Carney) Farley, died this morning at the Slattery hospital after a long illness.

Mr. Farley was one of the pioneer residents of the Pawtucketville section of this city and has been a member of St. Rita's church since the inception of the parish.

He leaves one sister, Miss Minnie L. Farley; one son, William of Cambridge; two nephews, William Farley of Columbus, Ga., and Clifford Farley of Albany, N.Y.; and one niece, Mrs. George Carr of Woodville, N.H.

He was a charter member and past president of Camp Farragut, Sons of Veterans, and a charter member of the Holy Name society of St. Rita's church, and a member of the Acme club.

The body was taken to his hime, 92 Crawford street, by Undertakers James F. O'Donnell & Sons, where friends may call after 6 p.m. tomorrow.
