Ernest "Bill" Madison Curry of Wilmington died Tuesday March 19, 2013 at Liberty Commons.
He was born March 17, 1932 in Rockingham County NC son of the late James Curry and Bessie Denny Curry and was preceded in death by his wife Gail Curry.
Bill was a veteran of the US Navy, retired from the Alcohol Law Enforcement after twenty six years of service, he was one of the founders of the New Hanover County Law Enforcement Association, was a member of Wilmington Lodge #319 AF&AM, former member of the Scottish Rite and Sudan Temple and a member of the Monday night board meeting.
Surviving are his children Ernest "Bill" Curry Jr and wife Teresa of Wilmington, Sharon Frost and husband Steven of Cary, NC and Deborah Curry of Wilmington, grandchildren, Becky Nichols and Michelle Moore, great grandchildren, Britney Moore and Austin Moore.
A funeral service will be held 2pm Friday March 22, 2013 at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
