Creed was active in the United Mine Workers Association of Letcher County, KY. He was active in politics and was Chief of Police in Fleming, Kentucky. Our Father worked alongside his own Father, Joel Martin "Mart" Potter when Joel Martin was Sheriff. Creed Flannery Potter is buried near his first wife, Sarah Rose Robinson Potter and his Mother, Eliza Frances Reynolds Potter (William Henry Reynolds 1837; Noah Milburn Reynolds 1808 VA;)" info from his daughter

CREED POTTER DIES
Creed Potter, 57, of Mc Roberts, Kentucky, died Jan 26 at the Paintsville Clinic. Funeral Services were held Jan 28 at the First Church of God in Neon, Kentucky. Burial was in the Reynolds Cemetery at Seco, Kentucky
Survivors are his wife Mrs. Ida Potter, eight children and eight brothers and sisters.
Craft funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
