He was born around 1934 in Washington County, Florida and was the son of Carl Brown Setterlind, Sr., and Annie Lou (Richardson) Setterlind.
Carl was a retired Minister of Music. After graduating from Florida State University, he received a Master of Sacred Music from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
Mr. Setterlind is survived by his wife, Linda (Evans) Setterlind, his sons, Carl Brown Setterlind, III, his sisters, Ann (Setterlind) Laird and Jenelle (Setterlind) Rollin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Brown Setterlind, Sr., and Annie Lou (Richardson) Setterlind, his sisters, Linda (Setterlind) Taylor and Carrie (Setterlind) Terry.
