Member of Seneca Presbyterian Church, where he had previously served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher.
Member of the Seneca Lions Club (and past president); founder of the Seneca Bobcat Booster Club; Scout Master and recipient of the Silver Beaver Award. Member, Seneca Chamber of Commerce and recipient of an award from the Oconee Cancer Society for his service to that organization.
At the time of his death he was survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Pat) Farnum of Edisto Beach; two grandchildren.
Funeral Services: Monday, February 17, 1997, Seneca Presbyterian Church.
Burial: Heritage Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
