Mr. Bloodworth was born the son of the late Alexander Medford and Annie Johnston Bloodworth. He was the last surviving of nine children. Having served his country honorably in the United States Navy he was a veteran of World War II. Mr. Bloodworth was a member and past Master of King Solomon Lodge No. 138 A.F. & A.M., a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of the Sudan Shriners. Surviving are his wife of sixty-four years, Wilma C. Bloodworth, children, Elizabeth "Bebe" Melvin, Jesse W. "Buck" Bloodworth, Jr., James "Jimmy" Bloodworth, Timothy Robert "Robbie" Bloodworth and wife, Becki of Midland and William "Bill" Leslie Bloodworth, sisters-in-law, Hazel Bloodworth, Gretchen Bloodworth and Lillian Bloodworth. Jesse of Rocky Point, died at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCareCenter at age 87.
