Born in Sausalito, he moved to Kingsburg as an infant. He served in the Army during World War II and returned to farm in Kingsburge [sic].
In 1965, he moved to Santa Cruz and was employed at the Lone Star Cement Plant in Davenport. Aspesi was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Italian Catholic Federation Branch No. 21 and Sons of Italy.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Aspesi; two sons, John Jr., and Peter Aspesi; two daughters, Mrs. Katherine Griffin and Mrs. Christine Perry, all of Santa Cruz; a brother, Charles Aspesi of Tipton; also by four grandchildren.
The funeral cortage will leave Norman's Family chapel Monday at 9:30 a.m. for Holy Cross Catholic Church, where a Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m.
Entombment will be in Holy Cross Mausoleum. The Rosary will be recited in the chapel on Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
Contributions to the Dominican Hospital body scanner are preferred.
