Edna Caroline Schuette, age 92, of Whitetail Estates, 910 River Bluff Drive, Manitowoc, died Thursday, October 26, 2006, at her residence.
Edna was born March 11, 1914, in the town of Newton, daughter of Charles and Emma (née Rosso) Koeser.
She married Arno Schuette on March 17, 1934. They farmed in the towns of Centerville and Newton for 60 years. Arno preceded her in death on May 4, 1994.
Edna was a member of the Manitowoc Senior Center, White Trail Homemakers of Newton, 4-H Teacher, Ladies Aid, and a lifelong member of Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church of Newton. She worked for Stock Manufacturing for 12 years. She enjoyed crocheting, crafts, baking, gardening, sewing, bingo and fishing.
Survivors include her five children: Caroline (Larry) Sonnenburg, Virginia Temme, Donald (Myra) Schuette, all of Manitowoc; Janice (Gregg) Church of Silver Spring, Md.; and Dennis (Sandra) Schuette of Plymouth, Minnesota. Nineteen grandchildren: Kevin (Kay) Sonnenburg, Kay (Cliff) Konik, all of Manitowoc; Kurt, (Sharry) Sonnenburg, Hales Corner; Kristy (Robert) Krueger, Manchester; Lori (William) Metheny, Fort Drum, New York; Brett (Verge) Temme, Sturgeon Bay; Troy (Gail) Temme, Newton; Holly Temme, Manitowoc; Keith (Tanya) Schuette, Scott (Vivian) Schuette, Debra (Dave) Petersohn, Cheryl (Terry) Hubbartt, Michelle (Jason) Robley, all of Manitowoc; Heather (Jeff) Miner, Morrison, Colo.; Teresa and Jason Church, Silver Spring, Md.; Chad, Ryan, Jeff Schuette, Plymouth, Minn.; 33 great-grandchildren: Bradley, Emily and Jeremy Sonnenburg, Crystal, Melissa and Brittany Konik, Manitowoc; Marie, Sadie, Pedro and Benjamin Sonnenburg, Hales Corners; Shawna, Sarah and Sharon Krueger, Manchester; William, Hannah and Lane Metheny, Fort Drum, New York; Jake Jenkins, Milwaukee; Brooke and Nicole Temme, Newton; Devin Kline, Ocean Stangel, John, James, Kristina and Annalisa Schuette, Erin Schuette, Kelly, Katie and Kyle Petersohn, Austin and Dayna Hubbartt, Elizabeth and Rachel Robley, all of Manitowoc; special friends: Marie Schuette and Louise Schmitz.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband: Arno Schuette; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Marvin and Lila Koeser; Norman and Virginia Koeser.
Funeral services will be held at Salem Ebenezer Reformed Church in Newton. Entombment will follow at Knollwood Mausoleum, 1500 Highway 310, Manitowoc.
