Shirley L. Reim, age 76 of Kunkletown, Pa. formerly of Elizabeth, NJ passed away surrounded by her loving family on August 10th at the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital in Lehighton, Pa. Shirley was born in Stamford, NY on July 23, 1935 and the daughter of the late Harold and Virginia (Harris) Austin. She had worked as a Teacher's Assistant for the Elizabeth Board of Education in Elizabeth, NJ for 23 years, until retiring in 2005. Shirley attended the Pleasant Valley Presbyterian Church in Brodheadsville, Pa. She was a Deacon for the Greystone Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth, NJ for many years. We have been blessed with the presence of Shirley in our lives and she will be deeply missed by her children: Deborah Serafinas and her husband John of Roselle, NJ; Johanna Sokolowski and her husband Charles of Kunkletown, Pa.; Johannes Reim and his wife Ann of Elizabeth, NJ; Jeffrey Reim and his wife Eileen of Shippensburg, Pa.; Scott Reim of Chambersburg, Pa.; and Kevin Reim of Kunkletown, Pa. She was a loving and gentle grandmother to her 17 grandchildren and 23 greaat grandchildren who lovingly called her Mom Mums. Shirley is also survived by 3 sisters: Estelle, Linda and Virginia; 3 brothers: Robert, William and James and many nieces and nephews.
