Ramon Burnett, a retired implement dealer of Waverly, died Thursday, July 10, at 3:20 p.m. at St. John's hospital in Springfield, where he had been a patient since December 14, 1957, being 57 years of age at the time of his death.
Mr. Burnett was born in Waverly April 18, 1901, the son of the late Sheridan and Etta Foster Burnett.
On January 25, 1921, he was united in marriage with Miss Lucille Rilling, who survives him, together with one son, Howard Burnett, of Del Mr, Calif.; two grandchildren; two sisters, Miss Irma Burnett of Waverly and Mrs. Jennie Perry of New Berlin.
Deceased was a member of the Waverly Methodist church; Linton Lodge No. 401 Knights of Pythias, and the D. O. K. K.
Funeral services were held at the Neece Funeral home Saturday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock, Rev. Ralph Fitch, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating, assisted by Rev. Robert Kater, pastor of the Baptist church.
Burial was in East cemetery.
