GEORGE SCHUH

George R. Schuh, age 56, of 24228 Highway 10, Brillion, died unexpectedly on Saturday, March 30, 2002.

He was born Dec. 17, 1945 in Manitowoc County, the son of the late George and Lauretta (Manlick) Schuh.

He married Dori Vogel on April 28, 1972 in Whitelaw.

George served in the U.S. Navy from 1965 to 1969, and worked for Brillion Iron Works for 37 years. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, Brillion, the Reedsville AMVETS and served on various committees at Holy Family Parish and Roncalli High School. George had a great love of the outdoors and a passion for hunting.

Survivors include wife, Dori; his children, Craig Schuh, Eau Claire, Aaron (Amy) Schuh, De Pere, Vicki Schuh, at home and her fiance, Jason Beyer of Brillion and Corey Schuh at home. George is further survived by his brothers and sisters, Liz and Ted Giese, Norb and Carol Schuh, Edwin and Rose Marie Schuh, Helen and Dick Fischer, Regina Fischer, Anna Schuh, Monica Dresang, Patricia Ann Schuh and Joyce Schuh, his mother-in-law, Louise Vogel; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Franceen and Wayne Bowe, Ken Vogel, Jean and Jerry Schleis JoAnne Bertsche, Mary and Bob Miller, Mike Vogel and Sandy, Clare and Bob Jeffery, Dick and Bonnie Vogel, Dan and Kathy Vogel; and many nieces, nephews, special friends and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lauretta Schuh; brothers, Richard, Anthony, Sebastian, an infant brother, Alfred, a sister, Sister Clara Schuh, his father-in-law, Robert Vogel and his brothers-in-law, Fran Dresang and Glenmore Fischer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 3, at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Brillion. The Rev. Tom Long will officiate. Entombment will be at Knollwood Mausoleum, Manitowoc. Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home Brillion on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. when family rites will be held. There will be a parish prayer service at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
