Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday (TONIGHT), Aug. 29, 2002 at teh Klein & Stangel Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center, Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Kim Henning. Burial will take place on Friday at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, town of Kossuth.
Bob was born May 5, 1942 in Two Rivers, son of the late Rueben and Ann Tomaschefsky Schwahert. He graduated from Washington High School, Two Rivers, with the class of 1960. On June 27, 1964 Bob married the former Barbara Klusmeyer at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Bob was employed at Fisher Hamilton for 40 years, retiring in January 2002. He was a life member of West Shore Sportsman Club, Lakeshore Ostomy Club and Grace Congregational United Church of Christ. Bob was an avid hunter and a devoted Packer and Cubbies fan.
Survivors include his wife: Barbara Schwahert, Two Rivers; one son and daughter-in-law: Brian and Cindy Schwahert and their children, Sarah and Amanda; one daughter and son-in-law: Terri and Mark Kornely and their children, Kyra and McKenzie, all of Two Rivers; one brother-in-law and three sisters-in-law: John and Janice Klusmeyer, Jane Brault, all of Manitowoc; Bernice Schwahert, Two Rivers; and his special cat, Angel; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends also survive. Bob was also preceded in death by two brothers: Raymond and Arthur Schwahert; one brother-in-law: David Brault; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Ervin and Ethel Klusmeyer.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday (TONIGHT), Aug. 29, 2002 at The Klein & Stangel Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center, Two Rivers, from 3 p.m. until the time of service at 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Manitowoc County Humane Society or the American Cancer Society.
The family extends a special thanks to the staff at Aurora Medical Center, Dr. Yetter and his staff, and all who cared for Bob during his illness.
