Mrs. Pearl Bachelor Greer, widow of former Dayton postmaster Clarence N. Greer, died January 29, 1962 at the Garden Manor Nursing Home in Middletown OH. Mrs. Greer was a member of the first class that graduated from the nursing school of Deaconess, now Miami Valley Hospital. She also graduated from Holmes Hospital Nursing School in Cincinnati OH Born in Wyoming OH, where she spent most of her life, Mrs. Greer was a charter member of the Garden study club and a member of the First Baptist church. She also belonged to the Outlook and Dayton Women's clubs, the Poetry Reading circle, Emerson Literary society and the Philathea class of the First Baptist Church. Mrs. Greer's husband served as postmaster for 11 years before his death in 1946. He was a former chairman of the Montgomery County Democratic Central committee. Her survivors are her daughter, Mrs. Jack Pickeral and son, William S., both of Dayton OH; two brothers, Carl Bachelor of Dayton and Creighton of Lebanon OH, and two grandchildren.
