Mary Jane was the youngest daughter of Samuel Beam Crawley and Drucilla Byars Crawley. Her Crawley ancestors were early pioneers to the Kentucky Territory. After her mother's death in 1874, her father Sam brought Mary Jane and her brother Henry Samuel Crawley to Florida first settling in Marion County and later Lake County just down the road from this cemetery. Her father is probably buried here but the location is unknown. Her brother Henry and sister Loudema Ellen Crawley Pevehouse are buried nearby.
Father- Samuel Beam Crawley b. 26 Dec 1826 in either Tennessee or Kentucky. He was the son of Thomas Crawley and Catherine Reed Beam who married in Barren County, Kentucky. He was the stationmaster at the Ferndale Station before his death. Death date unkown at this time.
Mother- Drucilla Byars b. 25 Sept 1836 Warren County, Tn. d. 02 Nov 1874 Scotland County, Mo.
