Charles F. Shekoski, 67, of 3928 Menasha Ave., Manitowoc, died Sunday morning, May 23, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at First Reformed United Church of Christ, Manitowoc. The Rev. Arthur H. Wille will officiate and entombment will be in Knollwood Mausoleum, Town of Kossuth.

Mr. Shekoski was born Jan. 27, 1915, at Two Rivers, son of the late John and Mary Kolb Shekoski. He resided in Manitowoc County all his life. For over 40 years he was employed as a pipe fitter with Manitowoc Shipbuilding Company until his retirement.

He married Marie Hansch Herber, July 31, 1965, at Sheboygan. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Velva Ploeckelman in 1942, and his second wife, Gladys Beson in 1958.

Mr. Shekoski was a member of International Plumbers and Steam Fitters Local 298 of Green Bay, and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 706.

Survivors include his wife, Marie; three stepsons, Charles LaFleur of Manitowoc, Robert Herber of Huntington Beach, Cali., and Gene Herber of Sheboygan; five stepdaughters, Mrs. Barbara Boeldt of Manitowoc, Mrs. Louis Propst of McClure, Ill., Mrs. Harland (Marlys) Nonhof of Campbellsport, Wis., and Mr. Eugene (Patricia) Albrecht and Mr. Kenneth (Karen) Wagner of Sheboygan; 16 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Gene F. in 1978, and a son in infancy; three brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei State Street Chapel, Manitowoc, from 6 o’clock to 9 o'clock this Monday evening and at the church Tuesday from 1 p.m. until the time of services. Memorials are appreciated to American Cancer Society.
