Clara was born September 3, 1909 , in Sheboygan, daughter of the late Henry and Margaret Trester Christoffel. She grew up in Two Rivers where she attended local schools.
On October 15, 1934 she married Frank Shimek at St. Mark Catholic Church, Two Rivers. He preceded her in death March 3, 1982.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Daniel W. and Carol Shimek, West Point, N.Y.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Dale Havlichek, Kaila and John Koerner, all of Two Rivers; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Shimek, Stone Mountain, Ga, Daniel Shimek II, Oxford, Miss., Jeffrey (Christine) Havlichek, Green Bay, Kenneth (Cynthia) Havlichek Yuma, Ariz.; two great-grandchildren, Matthew Havlichek, Green Bay, Aubrey Havlichek, Yuma Ariz. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. George (Magdalen) Laque; one brother-in-law and three sisters-in-law, Louis and Carline Shimek, Mishicot, Verona Shimek, Manitowoc, Frances Christoffel, Sitka Alaska.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter Judith Ellen, one brother, Clement Christoffel, and one sister Frances Hoffman.
Friends may call at the Deja and Martin Funeral Chapels from 5-8 p.m. Friday evening. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Private Family Funeral Service Services will be held. Entombment will be Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.
