MAYBELL SIEBERT

Maybell Siebert, 89, formerly of 825 Jackson Street and North Ridge Care Center, died Monday at the Shady Lane Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday from St. John’s United Church of Christ. Rev. Robert Meyer officiating with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum.

She was born April 8, 1902, in Seymour, Wis., daughter of the late Adam and Elizabeth Sproul Shier.

She attended schools in the Seymour area and married Franklin E. Siebert January 26, 1936, in Waukegan, Ill.

The couple returned to Appleton to make their home. She was a member of the St. John’s United Church of Christ, Manitowoc, the Womens Guild and the Sew & Sew Club of the Church. She was the chief operator and bookkeeper for the Bell Telephone Co. of Seymour and Neenah for a number of years and later was in sales for J.C. Penney Co. in Appleton and was then manager of the Service Dept. of Sears in Appleton and later coming to Manitowoc in 1954 in the same capacity.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1968; four sisters and one brother.

Friends may call at the church from noon to the time of services on Wednesday. The Jens Funeral Home is serving the family with funeral arrangements. Memorials may be made to the St. John Untied Church of Christ.
