Candice Neiner and Cherity Vieth were killed Saturday night when the car they were in skidded of Highway 47 in southern Warren county and slammed into a utility pole.
Candice was born January 22, 1977, in St.Louis, daughter of Richard G. and Gig Dister Neiner.
Candice received her education in the Washington public school system and was currently a junior at Washington High School. Miss Neiner attended the Presbyterian Church of Washington.
Beginning in 8th grade, she had been actively involved in the cheerleading squad and was presently captain of the cheerleading squad for varsity football and basketball. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Fred and Genevieve Dister.
She is survived by her parents; two brothers, Casey Neiner,
Washington, and Rick Neiner, Peoria, Illinois; her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Neiner, Hazelwood; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 26, at the Presbyterian Church of Washington, with the Rev. Charles Spencer officiating. Burial was in St. Francis Borgia Cemetery.
The Neiner family was served by Nieburg-Vitt Funeral Home, Washington.
