Mabel E. Sommers, age 82, a resident Manitowoc, died Thursday, January 18, 2001 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 22, 2001, at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Rev. Thomas Pankow will officiate. Entombment will be at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth, Wisconsin.
Mabel was born February 8, 1918 in Chilton, Wis., daughter of the late Albert and Lena Mews Ullmann. She graduated from Neillsville High School in 1936. She then became employed as the Clark County Treasurer. After her marriage, she moved to Manitowoc and was employed with Shady Lane Nursing Care Center for 31 years, retiring in 1983, as their dietary supervisor.
She married Mr. [Kermit] Sommers, October 19, 1941, in Neillsville, Wis.
She was a member of Grace Ev. Lutheran Church, and a former member of the Grace Circle.
Survivors include her husband, a daughter and son-in-law, two grand-children, three sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Elmer and Wilmer
Ullmann.
Friends may call at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church, Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc assisted the Somers family with funeral arrangements.
