Son of Gen. William Lee DAVIDSON and Mary Brevard.

Was born just a month before his father was killed by a Tory guiding Lord Cornwallis' army at Cowan's Ford during the Revolutionary War. Married (1) Elizabeth "Betsey Lee" LEE. (2)Sarah Davidson KERR

About 1850 William and Sarah moved to Marengo County, AL, then to Unionville in Perry County (county adjoining Marengo), where they raised cotton and tried to raise silkworms, with a large orchard of mulberry trees to feed the silkworms.

William had no children by either wives.
