Mrs. Joanna Lynes died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Reuben Bowman, at New Providence, on Thursday. For a long time she had been a sufferer from rheumatism. She was the widow of John Lynes and was in her 61st year. She was a daughter of James Mooney and Mary String Mooney, and was born March 11, 1847. Her surviving children are as follows: Harry Lynes, Simon Lynes, of New Providence; Peter Lynes, of New Danville; Mrs. Clayton Wiggins, Mrs. Harry Shaub, Lancaster; Mrs. Harry Brooms, Mrs. Reuben Bowman, New Providence; Mrs. Maris Eisenberger, Willow Street. Her sisters are Mrs. Elizabeth Shade, Harrisburg; Christiana Mooney, Woodbury, NJ; Mrs. Mary Herr, Millersville. (Intelligencer Journal - Apr 25, 1908)
