Mrs. Richard (Ethel A.) Stanzel, age 88, of 4529 Oaktree Court, Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Saturday, April 5, 2008, at Unity Hospice, De Pere.
Private funeral services for the family will be held 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, at Knollwood Mausoleum with the Rev. Richard Klingeisen officiating. Entombment will follow at the mausoleum.
Ethel was born Jan. 26, 1920, in the town of Newton. She was the daughter of the late Ernst and Emma Eichmann Luebke. She attended Lincoln High School, graduating with the class of 1938 and continued her education at the Manitowoc Business College.
In past years she had been locally employed as a bookkeeper with several Manitowoc businesses.
On June 18, 1941, she married Richard Stanzel at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc.
Ethel was a member of St. Francis of Assisi. She enjoyed gardening and flowers and especially being outdoors at their cabin in Townsend.

She was preceded in death by one sister in infancy; one sister, Norma Budnik; one brother, Arlandt Luebke.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
