LIVINGSTON -- Funeral services for Eva Bowman, 85, of Crossville, formerly of Allred, will be held at 10 a.m. on Fri., July 23, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Burial will be in Overton County Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Bowman died on Tues., July 20, 1999, at Country Place Health Care Center in Crossville.

She was born on Dec. 31, 1913, in Badaxe, Mich., to the late William H. Macgillivray and Ella Kreutziger. Mrs. Bowman was a teacher and a member of the Livingston Eastern Star, Chapter #206. She and her husband, Fred, operated Bowman's Grocery Store at Steel Bridge from 1947-1965. She then worked at the Crawford Head Start Center and at the Upper Cumberland Development Center until she retired.

Her family includes two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Nancy Bowman of Fairfield Glade; Donald and Betty Bowman of Memphis; five grandchildren, William Bowman and Sharon Voehringer of Memphis, and Elizabeth, Fred and Martha, all of Memphis; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred Bowman.
