Bert R. Colbeth, lifetime resident of Lake Orion, died on May 18. He was 88, the husband of Isabelle. He was the father of Carolyn (Lonnie) Oliver of Waterford; the grandfather of Russell, Robert, Dan and Suzanne; the great-grandfather of five. Mr. Colbeth was the last surviving child of a family of 11 children. He was a retired welder from Pontiac Motor, a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Lake Orion/Oxford Senior Citizens and UAW Local 653.
The funeral service is May 21, 10:30 a.m. from Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1950 Baldwin Road in Lake Orion with Pastor James Van Dellen officiating. Burial is in Perry Mt. Park Cemetery.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Friday at the Lake Orion Chapel, Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home (248-693-8336) with suggested visiting hours of 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
