Heart Attack Fatal to E.M. Tinkey, 74 -- Edward Monroe Tinkey, 74, one of the founders of Tinkey Lumber co., died Monday afternoon. Born in Bellville, Feb. 15, 1880, the son of Jeremiah and Drusilla Snyder Tinkey, he lived in this area all of his life. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bertha Brooks Tinkey; one son, Guy E. Tinkey of Lucas; two daughters, Mrs. J. Harold Hedges of Mifflin and Mrs. W. Frank Wise of Bellville; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Carlton Tinkey of Mansfield. A son, Forest Dale Tinkey, died April 23, 1949. Burial will be in the Shawk Cemetery. [Manfield News Journal, 21 Sep 1954, page 14]
