KAREN HELEN (McKENZIE) SMITH was born September 22, 1958, passed away on February 11, 2005. Karen was born in Paterson, New Jersey; upon graduation from Cherry Hill East High School, graduated from Penn State University with a Landscape Architecture Degree and came to Dallas in 1980 to begin her career, ending at Garden Design Landscaping.
She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Ken Smith and son, Michael Smith; her mother and father, William H. and Helen M. McKenzie; 2 sisters, Deborah Barcheski and Diane McKenzie.
The Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at St. Rita Catholic Church. Rev. Mark Seitz, Presider. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to St. Rita Catholic Church, 12521 Inwood Road, Dallas 75244.
