Beverly Thor, age 74, of Two Rivers died on Tuesday afternoon, April 15, 2008, at Harmony House of Two Rivers after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on Sept. 6, 1933, in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Donald and Hazel (Elliott) Kuhl.

On May 15, 1954, she married Richard Thor at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on March 6, 2005.

Bev enjoyed gardening, reading, gambling, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother: Donald Kuhl, Jr.; a sister: Marsha Kuhl; two brothers-in-law: Donald Mechenich, and Doug Foye and her beloved Hannah.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, April 19, 2008, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. William O'Brien, with entombment to follow at Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Hwy 310, Manitowoc. The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, April 18, 2008, at Klein & Stangel Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center, Two Rivers, from 5 to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. The Klein & Stangel Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center, Two Rivers, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

The family wishes to express their sincere thank you to Dr. Barylak and the staff at Vince Lombardi Cancer Care Center, and the staff at Aurora Medical Center, for their care of Bev and her family and also to Harmony House and the Aurora VNA Hospice Care for their compassionate care of Bev and her family during this trying time.
