Marshal was born to the late Andrew Ezra & Hazel Deloras (Buroker) Baxter and lived in Marion since 1942. He married Narolla Adaline Royer on June 18, 1938. He died on January 11, 2000. They were married for 62 years. He worked on the rail road in his younger years then he drove a 18 wheeler for Eagle Lumber Co. for many years. Then as a salesman for the same Co. In his latter years he worked for Anaconda Wire & Cable where he retired. He was a member of First Church of God.

Survivors include his daughter, Lelia (Phil) Dailey, sons, Andrew (Judy) Baxter, Wesley Chapel, Fla., Ronald (Linda) Baxter, grandchildren, Patty (Marty) Wine, Ft. Wayne, Chip (Patty) Dailey, Van Buren, Dee (Cindy) Baxter, Indianapolis, David (Shalisa) Baxter, Kendallville, Pat (Charmin) Baxter, Kendallville, Suzanne (Tom) Cassidy, Spring Hill, Fla., Michael (Michelle) Baxter, Lesley (Rev.Steve) Sparks, Monon; 21 Great Grandchildren; sister-in-law, Deloras Bragg, Lois Baxter, Steger, Ill; brother in law, Earl (Dorothy) Baxter, Hobart.

He is also preceded in death by a Great Granddaughter, Morgan Leigh-Ann Dailey.
