Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 10 a.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church. The Rev. D. L. Krembs will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
The former May Hartl was born July 21, 1897, at Seymour, daughter of the late Philip and Theresa Krener Hartl Sr. She came to Manitowoc as a child with her parents where she was married to Reuben J. Lettenberger Aug. 4, 1920, at St. Boniface Catholic Church. He died Oct. 16, 1953.
Before her retirement a year ago, Mrs. Lettenberger had been employed seven years as cook and baker at Lincoln High School cafeteria. She had been a member of Germania Society and St. Theresa Society of St. Andrew Church.
Surviving are two sons, Earl, of Manitowoc and Delmar, of Wood Dale, Ill., a brother, Philip, and two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Lindroth and Mrs. Roland Grimm, of Manitowoc and two grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited at 7 o’clock this Monday evening by members of St. Andrew Parish and St. Theresa Society.
