Nancy Marie Vogel, age 55, of 2822 34th St., Two Rivers, passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, Aug. 17, 2008, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Nancy was born on Sept. 27, 1952, in Two Rivers, a daughter of Gordon and Irene (Wachowski) Dvorak. She attended St. Mark's Catholic Grade School and Washington High School, Two Rivers, graduating with the class of 1970. She then furthered her education, earning a degree from Lakeshore Technical College in the medical assistant program.
On Sept. 26, 1981, she married Richard "Rick" Vogel at St. John's Lutheran Church, Two Rivers.
Nancy was employed as a medical assistant at the Park Medical Center in Manitowoc for 18 years. She continued to work in the medical field for another seven years, before changing her career to work at Kurtz's, the Courthouse Pub, and later Joy's Family Restaurant. This seemed to be a perfect career for Nancy, since she loved to be around people. During this period of time, Nancy also started a business of her own, Unique Personal Photo Art.
She was a very caring person, who helped anyone in need, loved being busy and was always on the go. She also enjoyed sewing, her flower garden and had a great love for her dogs. In the middle of her busy life, Nancy also managed to raise two litters of lab puppies.

She was preceded in death by her Godfather: Richard Wachowski; and her father-in-law: Arthur Vogel.
Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008, at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th St., Two Rivers. The Rev. William G. O'Brien will officiate at the service, with inurnment to take place at Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Highway 310, Manitowoc. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels after 4 p.m. on Wednesday until the time of service at 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Holy Family Cancer Care Center or the American Cancer Society.
