Brewer, Heineken Holding. From 1914 until 1940, Henry Heineken headed the company purchased from Haystack Brewery by his father Gerard in 1864. He took over the company when he was only 18 years old. Under his leadership, the the Heineken Brewery began brewing the beer itself and shipping it all over the world. He established breweries in Singapore, the Dutch East Indies, the Belgian Congo and Egypt.
