Lud J. Wanek, 79, formerly of Tucson, Arizona, died Tuesday, July 19, 1988 at Whitelaw.

Lud was born September 23, 1908, in the Town of Cooperstown, son of the late John and Emma (née Albrecht) Wanek.

On September 30, 1931 he married Ann M. Kirt at St. Boniface Catholic Church. She preceded him in death two years ago in Tucson, on 11 May 1986.

Survivors include three brothers and sisters-in-law, Victor and Marcella Wanek, Manitowoc; Frank and Evelyn Wanek, Green Bay; Edwin and Sylvia Wanek, Two Rivers; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Emily and Fred Mazanet, Manitowoc; Viola Parizek, Whitelaw; Helen and Emil Havlovitz, Mishicot; a brother-in-law, Adolph Kirt, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relative and friends.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Barbara Ann; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Stanley and Ann Wanek and Cyril Wanek; three sisters and four brothers-in-law, Evelyn and Fritz Grall, Clara and Rueben Harpt, Agnes and James Kunz and Edward Parizek.

Services were Thursday, July 21, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Entombment was in Knollwood Mausoleum.
