Jack Melvin Vieira, 54, Kansas City, MO, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2005. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, April 5, at Journey (Foursquare Gospel Church), 9301 E. 87th St., Raytown. Cremation. Friends may call 6-8 p.m., Monday, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Floral Hills Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Kansas City Rescue Mission, Save, Inc., or Journey (Foursquare Gospel Church). Jack was born Aug. 20, 1950, in Alameda, CA, and moved to Kansas City in 1995. He was a good friend to many and spent a large number of hours as a volunteer for Kansas City Rescue Mission, Truman Medical Center, Save, Inc., Good Samaritan Project, and Guardian Angels Parish. He was a member of Journey (A Foursquare Gospel Church), in Raytown, MO, where he served as head usher and as a children's church worker. He was a lifelong student of scripture.
