She is survived by her husband, one son, Arthur H.; two step sons, Thomas W. and Reuben, all of Waverly, and eight grandchildren.
She was most loving and dutiful to her family and was a loving mother to her step children, always ready to do for them as well as her own. Her grandchildren were all dear to her.
Mrs. Mitchell was the last survivor of a family of seven children, her last sister passed away only about two weeks ago, and her death was a shock from which Mrs. Mitchell could not recover.
At an early age Mrs. Mitchell was converted and joined the Cumberland Presbyterian church at Irish Grove. After her marriage she transferred her membership to Providence, where she held her membership until that church was no longer used for services, and with her husband transferred their membership to the Congregational church in this city, and she was a faithful and devoted member until her death. She was a faithful attendant whenever her health permitted. She loved her church, her home and her children, and always had a kind and loving smile for those around her. She will be greatly missed in her home and the community.
Besides her family she is survived by three nephews and four nieces, and a host of friends to mourn her departure.
Funeral services were held at the Congregational church Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock, in charge of the pastor, Rev. J. B. Houser. Interment was in East cemetery.
