  Alphonse V. Astrauskas Sr., 62, of Route 1, Troy, died in his home at 7:20 p.m. Wednesday. He was a retired employee of American Zinc Co. in Sauget.
  Mr. Austrauskas was born on Jan. 25, 1912, in Collinsville. His parents were Casimer and Catherine Polonis Astrauskas. His mother survives.
  He was married to Matilda Waitukaitus on Nov. 12, 1938, in SS. Peter and Paul Church in Collinsville. She survives.
  Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Mary Yakubinis of Collinsville, sons Alphonse Astrauskas Jr. of Lebanon, Philip Astrauskas of Collinsville and Lawrence Astrauskas of Collinsville, nine grandchildren, sisters Mrs. Jim (Josephine) Fleherty and Mrs. Joe (Mary) These, both of Chicago, and brothers Charles Astrauskas of Collinsville and John Astrauskas of Troy.
  Mr. Astrauskas was a veteran of World War II and was a member of the United Chemical Workers Union.
  He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
  Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at Edwards Funeral Home in Troy. There will be a Rosary service at 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
  Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
