Obituary:

The memorial service for Howard Clinton Capp will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Perl Funeral Services--Siskiyou. Pastor Andy Green of Ashland Christian Fellowship will officiate. Private cremation will follow.

Mr. Capp, 73, of Medford [Oregon], died Tuesday (June 8, 1998) at his home.

Memorial contributions may be sent to Rogue Valley Medical Center Foundation Hospice, 2825 E. Barnett Road, Medford, OR 97504, or to the American Lung Association, 9320 S.W. Barbur Blvd., No. 140, Portland, OR 97219-5481.

He was born Oct. 8, 1924, in Ruth, Nev.

On Oct. 26, 1945, in Turlock, Calif., he married Ida May Niebaum, who survives.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the South Pacific during World War II.

After moving to the Rogue Valley in 1964, he and Wayne Casey founded Capp and Casey Inc. and hauled rock for logging roads for Medford Corp. He retired in 1977 and enjoyed traveling.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Alger, Central Point; three sons, Kenneth, Central Point, Brian, Prineville, and Gregory, Seattle; a sister, Helen Nunes; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
