Mr. James Ellison "Jimmy" Norman, (Ret. U. S. Army, 1st Sgt), age 73, of Spring Hill, TN, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, April 25, 2010 at his home. Jim was a 23 year veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Vietnam and attaining the rank of 1st Sgt. He was a member of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars and also Berea Church of Christ. Preceded in death by parents, Berry L. Norman & Hazel Hargrove Norman Brothers. Survived by his wife of 56 years, Monique A. R. "Micky" Norman of Spring Hill; sons, David L. (Kay) Norman of Wetumpka, AL & Charles J. Norman of Georgia; daughter, Vickaline P. (Buster) Helms of Wetumpka, AL; grandchildren, 1st Lt Nicholas James Meyers of Summerville, SC, Charles Clayton Norman of Charleston, SC & Mathew Travis Norman of Richmond, VA; brothers, Mark (Beth) Brothers of Antioch, TN & David (Sherry) Brothers of Nunnelly, TN; sisters, Barbara Anne (Armor) Thomas of Culleoka, TN, Linda Vetitoe of Nashville, TN, Lydia Svejoa of Kissimmee, FL & Janet (Glen) Marshall of Portland, OR; sister in law, (the biggest little woman), Margaret Norman of Hendersonville, TN; brother in law, Jaques (Janine) Piquepaille of France; aunt, Velma Trimble of Columbia, TN; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home, Brother Carl May, Doug Brown & Darrell Trimble officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Hargrove Cemetery in Spring Hill. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Greg Bearden, Sam Fuller, Dwain Bradley, Wilkes Dodson, Edward Harmon, Jimmy Lovell & Steve Baker. Special thanks goes to Dr. Ojo and his team, the staff at VA Hospital in Murfreesboro, and Willow Brook Hospice for their love and care.
