Portsmouth - Jon Edward Blank, 52, died March 23, 2013 after a long battle with liver cancer. A native of Missouri, he was a proud retired Chief in the U.S. Navy and a medical administrator. Jon was a Christian man.
Survivors include his wife, Lauren F. Blank; a daughter, Jessica E. Blank and grandson, Maverick Wade of Hampton; two sons, Ryan A. Blank and wife Lauren Marie of Alexandria and Eric M. Blank of Chesapeake; two sisters, Cheryl Blank and Carol Wilson; and one brother, Ron Blank.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, Mar. 29, at 1 p.m. in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Bennetts Creek Chapel, Suffolk. The family will receive friends at the funeral home the hour before the service. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery.
