On April 2, 1975, Terri Venem is found by her roommate, Ramona McGovern, dead at their residence, 426 7th Ave. South, city of Clinton. Ms. McGovern contacted Clinton Police and they determined the cause of death as a homicide after being severely beaten. A third roommate was arrested and convicted of the crime.
Ms. Venem was born to the union of Miller L. & Betty J. [Jones] Venem on January 9, 1956.
Funeral services will be held on April 5, 1975, at Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Theodore Anderson officiating. Visitation is held from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm this evening. Internment at Clinton Memorial Park Cemetery [Clinton Lawn Cemetery].
