Services For Velma Eberly Today
Velma Faye (Laird) Eberly, 86, of Maud, Oklahoma, died on March 10, 1997.
She was born in Cedar Creek, Arkansas on March 17, 1910 to Lee Laird and Minnie Mae (Barrick) Laird. She married Harold M. Eberly in 1958 in San Francisco, California. In Oakland, California she was a member of the Shilo Christian Fellowship Church. She also attended the Tri-City Christian Church in Seminole.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Minnie Laird; brother and sisters, Erastus, Vera, Raymond, Nigel, Minnie Lee, William and Lahoma. She is survived by her husband, Harold Eberly of the home; three brothers, Thurman Laird of Tecumseh, Oklahoma; Herman Laird of Scappoose, Oregon; Bob Laird of Maud; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Friday, March 14, 1997 at 1:00 in the Trinity Baptist Church, Maud. Rev. Marion Hadsell will officiate. Burial will be at Cummings Cemetery, Maud. The funeral will be under the direction of Knight Funeral Home, Maud.
