Retired Plum Twp. Farmer Dies at 93
Allen Wheeling Sr., 93, one of Plum Township's oldest residents, died at 3:30 a.m. yesterday at Brooks Memorial Hospital, Dunkirk, N.Y., following a short illness. Mr. Wheeling was visiting at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Merle Eddy, in Brocton at the time of his death.

He was born March 22, 1864, at Deckards Run, a son of Henry and Elizabeth Carrus Wheeling. He married Effie Shields in February, 1887. She preceded him in death in February, 1944.

Mr. Wheeling was a retired farmer. He lived near Diamond for more than 65 years. He was a member of the Diamond IOOF, joining in 1898.

Besides his daughter, he leaves the following children; Robert Wheeling of Titusville, Joseph Wheeling Sidney, Mont., Orman Wheeling of Titusville, Allen C. Wheeling Jr. of Brocton, Clyde Wheeling of Diamond; 22 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a brother, Henry Wheeling of Cambridge Springs and a sister, Mrs. Noras Harvey of Utica, NY. Two sons preceded him in death....
