He graduated from Hunter College's Physical Therapy Program. He worked in sports medicine for awhile (he loved sports, especially tennis), but mainly worked with children and at the end he was a physical therapist in a school with children with special needs. He also had begun his career in a school for children with special needs. He traveled all over Europe as his job allowed, and he had many opportunities to travel. His primary interests were sports and travel.
He later legally changed his name to "Boeller" from Skrypek, taking his mother's maiden name.
He died suddenly of natural causes on Easter Sunday, April 15, 2001.
