Married at High Noon.

The following marriage notice from this morning's Patriot refers to Miss Annie Boyer, very well known in Carlisle:

South Second street (sic), near Washington avenue (sic), was the scene, yesterday, of a wedding that has been awaited with interest, for some time. It took place at the residence of George G Royer, esq., the contracting parties being Miss Annie Boyer and John Robertson, city editor of the Harrisburg Independent. The marriage ceremony was performed by Rev. James Robertson, father of the groom, who has married all his children up to the present time. The happy couple being attended by Miss Minnie Boyer, a sister of the bride, and Thomas M. Jones,of the "Telegraph," and Miss Sallie Robertson, a sister of the groom, and Edward Fager. There were only a few invited guests present, but they were entertained in a royal manner, a dinner of the most elaborate and seasonable character being served after the couple had been congratulated and wished a long and happy life The presents were of the most valuable character. Mr. Robertson and his bride, left on an afternoon train for Baltimore and Washington, where they will spend a few days. Upon their return they will board until spring and then settle down in a comfortable home. They have the best wishes of their many friends in this city and elsewhere.
