John married Elizabeth Hawn March 28, 1870, in Bollinger County Missouri, daughter of John Hawn and Adline Sitzes.
Their Children; Laura Catherine, Lillie M, William Benjamin, Emma, Anna, Kathleen, Maynard, Nita Irene.
Funeral Services were held at the home and at the First Methodist Church.
