HERRICK - Verna L., 95, Ebensburg, formerly of Cleveland, died March 31, 2000, at Laurel Crest Manor. Born Sept. 3, 1904, in Johnstown, daughter of late Edwin Arthur and Nettie Mae (Yoder) Brewer. Preceded in death by husband, Frank M. Herrick; daughter, Doris E. Keagle; brothers, Roy, Hyle and Boyd; sisters, Betty Miller, Ethel Evans and Joyce Kapcsos; and an infant sister, Edna. Survived by granddaughter, Denise Anne Keagle, Cleveland. Sister of Pearl D. Boring, Ebensburg; Floyd Brewer, Central City; and Donald Brewer, Cleveland. Retired with 22 years' service from General Electric, Cleveland. Had attended Ebensburg First Christian Church (Disciples) and member of Lyndhurst Baptist Church, Cleveland. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Ebensburg, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, the Rev. Frank Brosius officiating.
