Mr. Samuel Jasper Adams was born to the marriage of Samuel Houston and Ora Lee Miller Adams. He was raised in rural Louisiana attending Pioneer Schools and later attending college in Pineville, Louisiana. He married Jimmie Lee Gordon June 12, 1951, and they celebrated 61 years of marriage. He worked as a truck driver for Woods Industries in car hauling for over 20 years.
Mr. Adams was a member of the Freeway Forest Baptist Church in Houston. He came to Gary 28 years ago and loved working on his country place and spending time with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandson, Chad Webster and his parents.
